Dr. Christopher L. Cummings is a behavioral theorist, strategic advisor, and social science researcher specializing in risk perception, stakeholder behavior, strategic communication, organizational resilience, and the governance of emerging technologies. His work focuses on helping organizations navigate uncertainty, reputational risk, and complex decision environments where technical systems intersect with human values and behavior. Dr. Cummings has served in leadership, research, and advisory roles within the U.S. federal government, and has held academic appointments at leading universities in the U.S. and internationally. Similarly, his professional experience spans interdisciplinary work across government, academia, nonprofit organizations, and industry, collaborating with domestic and international partners on issues involving behavioral science, risk analysis, communication, governance, public health, biotechnology, infrastructure resilience, environmental risk, defense, and other high-consequence operational and policy environments.
